    Not prepared at all
I've always considered myself pretty prepared. We keep extra food in the pantry, have a few flashlights around the house, and I figured that was enough. After reading through this, I realized there were quite a few things I hadn't thought about. Especially when it comes to communication and having an actual plan if the power stays out for several days. Really opened my eyes without making everything seem overly complicated.

    Best advice ever
I've been interested in survival and preparedness for probably 15 years now. A lot of books I've read are either too basic or spend half the time talking about unrealistic scenarios. What I liked about this one is the focus on your actual home and the things you can do before an emergency happens. There were some useful ideas I hadn't considered and I appreciate that it doesn't assume everyone has unlimited money to spend on equipment.

    I dont regret it
My husband is always watching survival videos and talking about being prepared, so I figured he'd enjoy this book. Well, he did, but I actually ended up reading quite a bit of it too. We started talking about what we'd do during a long power outage and realized we didn't really have a proper plan. We've since put together some basic supplies and made a list of things to work on. Really glad I picked this up.

    Amazing stuff
Living in an area that gets some pretty rough storms, I've learned that things can go wrong quickly. A few years ago we lost power for several days and it was a lot more difficult than I expected. That's what got me interested in being better prepared. I found this book really interesting because it focuses on staying home and making the most of what you already have. Plenty of practical ideas worth considering.

    I love it
I've been wanting to get more serious about emergency preparedness but didn't really know where to begin. This gave me a much better idea of what supplies to keep and what I should be thinking about around the house.

    So so useful
I was expecting another generic survival book but there's some genuinely practical advice in here. I especially liked the focus on preparing your home instead of assuming you need to run off into the woods.
